occassional licensing failures.

I downloaded and purchased the Diane-8kHz for Linux voice on June 18 and installed the license without issue. 99% of the time it works fine, but occasionally it will announce that it is not licensed. Swift is always run by the following script which is executed by a daemon running as root. The license was installed from the root user's account. There are no reboots or restarts of the daemon or the system between when it works correctly and when it announces that it is not licensed. I'm running Fedora Core 5.
Any ideas? It's pretty embarrassing for my system to be announcing I'm running unlicensed software!

/usr/local/bin/swift -f $1 -o $2
