voice tag not switching lexicon?

When I switch from my default English voice to a Spanish voice using the voice tag I get what seems to be a Spanish acented voice but with an English pronounciation of the words: most odd.

Do I need to do something to switch the lexicon as well?

the user-defined lexicon is voice dependent. You need to modify the lexicon.txt file in the voice directory for which you want the pronunciation changes.

I'm not using the user lexicon, just the default ones.

Are you synthesizing English text? If that's the case: the Spanish voices are designed to speak Spanish text, and do not perform any auto-translation.

No. The English voice is requested to speak English text, the Spanish voice Spanish text.

Hmm interesting, I get what you're saying now.

I just tried to reproduce that with some voices that I have on this system at the moment, and it seemed ok.

I used:

swift -f ml.txt

Where ml.txt contained:

<voice name='David'> Hello, this is David.</voice>
<voice name='Jean-Pierre'> Bonjour. C'est la vie.</voice>

I'll install Miguel and compare him with David as well.

Could you share the command/SSML that produced the oddity?
